The Jay Uiberall Foundation honors the legacy of Memphis restaurateur Jay Uiberall by funding innovative programs designed to improve the lives of Memphis youth and young adults. Jay was a leader in the Beale Street business community and co-owner of Automatic Slim’s, Alfred’s On Beale, Dyer’s, Ubee’s, and Catering for U. The Foundation is unique in that it helps donors spend their charitable dollars on vetted nonprofit organizations, whose JUF programs are measured with stringent oversight by the Foundation.
As a grant-making organization, JUF seeks to partner with nonprofits in the Greater Memphis area that offer new and innovative programs that align with our mission, but that may lack the financial resources to implement their vision. Typically, these programs demonstrate high potential to make a positive impact on the lives of our underserved youth and young adults through mentoring, scholarships, intervention, skills–building, critical-thinking development, and more. Please consider becoming a member of our Sustainability Club and make your generosity go even further.
