JULF is pleased to partner with Reach Memphis to fund the new Jay Uiberall Scholars program.
Reach Memphis, formerly known as Memphis PREP, is a nonprofit organization that prepares students for college by providing opportunities for them to attend summer educational programs at colleges and preparatory schools around the country. The Jay Uiberall Scholars program is a follow-up program for any students who already have participated in a summer study travel program through Reach Memphis. Beginning in January 2015, 15 scholars selected by Reach Memphis will work with mentors, participate in mock interviews, learn how to prepare their resumes and college essays, learn proper etiquette, and much more over the course of 10 Saturdays at Rhodes College.
“We want to further these kids’ educational opportunities by providing them real-life skills that will be applicable and invaluable,” said Andie Uiberall. “It’s something that Jay would have loved.”
